I'm following up on my experience with my P40 Pro. Some people were afraid of not getting YouTube on their P40. Up until now it was available as a shortcut for the browser, last week or so Huawei made their Quick App version available and I've been trying it. Looks and feels exactly the same. I don't get exactly what those quick apps are, but they seem the same as any other app. Am I missing something?

I've not used it personally as I use another 3rd party app for both YT and the YT music app on my P40. I think quick apps are basically just the mobile website but you can have a pretty icon on your home screen that takes you directly there rather than like having to open the browser then favourites etc.

Yeah, from what I gather it's basically an app that you don't need to download. There's quite anfew of them you can use as a Quick app.

I got Hotukdeals, Disney +, Google Drive, AirnlBnb and more using like that, seems the same.

I can't say I know exactly what they are but it's nice to have the icons back in places they were missing from ??????

Haha, I get whar you mean. But yeah, it's an app you don't really need to download, which is a win win, since you get the same service and its also not taking any space. I want one for Facebook now, that bugger can take up to 1GB!

Google has them as well, just nobody's rally taking advantage of them. I think they call them "Web Apps".

Ye, it's the same thing, except you don't need to download it. I reckon this is how they will be dealing with accessing some Google services until either their develop something better or politics go back to normal.
