Youtube player and stretching

Many youtube videos I play are widescreen and for some reason do not play "full screen" in the youtube player. There are black bars around all sides. On my old iphone I could double tap the video to zoom it in. I checked the menu options and settings and I can't find a way to do it.

Anyone know?

There doesn't appear to be a way to stretch video to full screen as of yet. The same thing happens with Sprint TV.

The screens resolution is higher than the video it's trying to play back in some cases so you end up with the video playing in a window. You would think a software fix would do the trick but we'll have to wait and see.

Yes annoying there must be a fix this.
