Z3&Lollipop: Screen turns on when receiving notifications while this option is disabled. Why???

Recently i got myself a Xperia Z3 with Lollipop 5.0.2. In general a good phone and OS. However... when i turn OFF the screen notifications (Under Settings>Sound and Notification > When device is locked> Don't show notifications at all) my screen still wakes up with nothing to show for and for, like it seems, no reason. I have played with dozens of settings but none seems to work. Any suggestions?

I would like to resolve this since it is draining my power and it's very, very annoying!

This issue has been resolved!

Turns out I had a app called Glimpse Notifications installed on my old phone which in turn was automatically installed on my new phone as well

After deleting this app everything went back to normal!
