Z3 storage

Recently bought an Z3 and have been enjoying it. (SO much better than an iPhone!)
However, this morning I found that I couldn't update any of my apps due to "insufficient storage space".
Is there a way to store apps on my microSD card?

I believe you can on Lollipop. However not on Kitkat.

How do I change settings so that apps get saved to the sd card by default?

Lollipop you can but only factory unlocked Z3 you can get lollipop not to mobile yet?? I also use a HTC M9 and you can move apps to SD card so sony Z3 lollipop should

Copying apps to SD does not work even on lollipop. It says it has but hasn't . Just a cache folder appears on card. All I have on my SD card is photos and music
