Zedge needs storage permissions and android 4.0.4

I've installed zedge and I use to have no problems with it however it has update and it want permissions to storage. I can download items but when i go to settings it says "you've denied storage permissions to zedge. Zedge needs permissions to function. Please open setting to grant permissions." then it directs me to the app info and all i can click is clear data, force stop, or unistall. Talk about poor development. what should I do? oh and model number is SCH-S738C.

Had the same problem..
Just installed an older version (4.23b3), now it works again.

Reinstall Zedge and allow it to have the permission.

Already unistalled and reinstalled twice, it did nothing. I read to install an older version how do you find an older version? Ready to throw this phone against the wall and down the disposal. Help please.

Sorry you are frustrated we will get to the bottom of this

[Picture One] Through the Android OS assuming you have Marshmallow 6.0 you can go through the settings and give it the permissions to work correctly

[Picture Two] Set the storage permission to blue and "Contacts" to blue as well but only if you want to allow Zedge to assign sounds to specific Contacts

Then Zedge should work no older version needed

He said he has Android 4.04 as do I, and I am also experiencing this issue with Zedge. Some of us still use old phones. How do I find and reinstall older version of Zedge?

I did a search for older zedge versions for android and the top choice had a list of versions. I used 4.22 and it worked!!

I did the same and it worked fine for me as well. Shame on Zedge for not making their update compatible with those of us with older phones/operating systems.
