Zen UI quirks

I just picked up an Asus Zenfone 3 and when I plug in my headphones I get a "HardwareStub Services" icon in my notification bar. I was able to mute it appearing on my lock screen, but have not found a way to remove it from the notification bar. If anybody has some advice it would be appreciated.
