Zenfone 2 headphone jack audio quality

Hey everyone. I just picked up a Zenfone 2 and after plugging it into my car stereo via cassette player headphone jack adapter I noticed there was almost no bass to speak of. After changing the EQ and quality settings in various placed on the phone, music apps and the stereo itself, nothing seemed to make a difference. After changing back to my HTC One, everything sounded fine.

Any advice?

Yes happens to me all the time
Restarting the phone fixes it
I'm guessing it has something to do with it reading the SD card, but I have no other explanation...must be a bug

I compared it with my S6 when it happened and the difference was night and day...hopefully this bug is addressed
