zoe is really complicated

Basically I understand that zoe is like long-pressing the shutter button in normal camera mode (you get multiple burst shots) plus a little video. So I took one zoe shot longpressing in order to have that video, and I moved this to a separate folder where it's the only file (along with the burst shots).

My question is, when zoe works on these to make the short video presentation with accompanying background music, how come I don't get any still shots (the multiple frames included in a zoe shot) included in the new video ? I hope I'm making sense

On another note, what is the diffeence between a single-click zoe shot between a single-click normal camera shot ?

Thanks for any response, would love to master this tool

If I understand what you're asking, I think it's better to just think of Zoe's as a short video clip firstly. It just happens that you can do fancy stuff to it afterwards.

I think you can save stills from videos if you want them included separately.

Not really what I was asking (couldn't you do fancy stuff to your "normal" shots too ?), I meant that I'm confused when the phone makes the short little video with the music, why does it only include snippets of the original video and NOT the stills that come along with it.

Thanks anyway, I apologize too if I'm unable to explain it adequately.

alyled, I shall give that video a look.

It's absolutely mind-boggling to me, that two of the most highly-touted features of this phone (Zoe & Extreme Power Savings) are still not available, and have no release date in sight.

Extreme Power Savings mode is available on the Sprint model. The inclusion is up to the carriers. Zoe camera mode is not the same as the Zoe app that is installed but does nothing. The app looks like it will be more of a picture-centric social network if/when it ever launches. I've never seen it "touted" and if nothing ever comes of it, that's fine by me.

Zoe is short for zoetrope, Google it if you want to know what a zoetrope is.

Basically it takes still pictures and stitches them together to make a video. You can then save each still, or frame, from the video as a regular picture. The video highlights with the music and themes are completely separate and have nothing to do with Zoes.

Hope this helps
