Don't know if I'm late to the game in just noticing this, but did anyone else notice RAW files don't retain the zoom info? I'm fully aware of how digital zooming works, but I thought it was applied at the sensor level since it shows that way on the live view. I was pleasantly surprised when I went to edit a raw file that was originally zoomed in on and saved that way in the jpeg version.

These two images are from the same exposure. I was zoomed in when taking the pic, and noticed the full version when editing the RAW file. I don't normally zoom in, which is why I only just noticed this.

I can confirm your results: DNG is unzoomed, all pixels; JPG is "digitally zoomed" or cropped in camera.
I don't normally zoom either; so if you did not mention it, I would not have noticed any time soon.
