ZTE Grand X Max Plus videos skipping at start

Ok hey everybody I have a ZTE Grand X Max Plus from Cricket and when I first got it I didn't have this issue, but since I've had it I've updated from Android 4.X.X (can't remember) to 5.1.1 now I can't remember if it did this when I first updated but every time I play an online video whether it be YouTube or a Facebook video they skip for around 5-10 seconds EVERY SINGLE TIME is there any fix for this I can't find anything it used to never do it and now it does it constantly

Welcome to Android Central! First, activate your Developer Options by going to Settings>About Phone and tapping Build Number 7 times. Now go to the Developer Options and see if there is an option to toggle between NuPlayer and AwesomePlayer. If you see it, try toggling to whatever is not currently selected.

Another thing to do is to see if your Android System Webview app is up to date in the Play Store.

Thanks for responding and thanks for the welcome! I've scanned through my developer settings but I don't see anything related to video settings sadly...I at one time Got an update for something about WebView that had a gear as the app icon which I did install that may have been when this started but I honestly can't remember.

Sometimes, updates to Android System Webview can themselves cause problems. Go to the Play Store, and search for Android System Webview. If it says Update, then update it. If it's already updated, then try uninstalling updates.
