ZTE Nubia Z17 On Verizon

Hello Guys, I Have a question for all of the knowledgeable people that can assist me with seeing if a phone i really want will work on verizon.

so i really like that new ZTE NUBIA Z17. i have a chance to get the one with 8gb of ram and 128G of storage for 550 bucks. i really wanna pull the trigger but i dont know if the bands will work im kind of confused. all that matters to me is voice calls and text and if i can at least get 3g data that will be fine. here are the specs and bands. i see it has cdma 1x evdo which verizon uses so i just need to know if it will work. it also has verizon band 4 which is their primary band here in the dfw.

It looks like Verizon uses the 850 Mhz and 1900 MHz bands for 1X, not 800 MHz. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cellular_frequencies_in_the_US

Besides, Verizon plans to shut down 1X by 2019 ...

If it's not in the database, and is not a Verizon approved device (which would be able to added to the db), then it would not be able to activate. You could try putting a compatible, already-active on Verizon, SIM in the phone to see if it works.

I bought a ZTE axon 7 for its audio prowess only to find out that it beats my galaxy s7 edge in just about every respect. I put in my Verizon sim card and it worked perfectly except it wouldn't text. I solved that issue by downloading verizons texting app. Now everything is working flawlessly. Calls sms, mms. No issues.
