Zte prelude (z993) 4.1.1 upgrade?

I have a ZTE Prelude per paid through AIO / cricket. Its rooted and has CWM Recovery. Is there a way to upgrade my phone without having to go through the carrier?I would like to upgrade to Kit Kat, but I'll settle for Jelly Bean 4.3.

I don't think so. I looked at Cyanogen, and there is no ROM for your device. Since many other developers depend on CM for source ROMs, finding an independent developer is slim.
