So last night I flashed my rooted Thunderbolt to Das BAMF with Sense 3.0 RC4 and MR2 radio. Everything has been working very well except for one weird bug: whenever I try to call or receive a call from one specific contact the phone app displays an error message and then needs to force close, which shuts off the phone radio for about 5-10 seconds (obviously disconnecting the call). I can manually dial this person's phone number and everything runs smoothly, but when the call is initiated with the contact info it breaks.

I haven't noticed it with any other contact - in fact, the phone has a stronger signal than ever and I tested at least 10 other regular contacts. The phone does not like this contact info for some reason....

Not sure if this is helpful in anyway and I don't have a link for you but I did read over at XDA there are some issues with the dialer in some cases. I was searching because my speed dial was not working after flashing this rom. Turns out anything stored in location 2 does not work, all others ok.

    What is location 2?

I thought maybe I should try flashing MR2.5 instead, but I think this is more the ROM's problem than the radio.

Would I be better off flashing cyanogen? I feel like there isn't a stable version for the thunderbolt yet, as the website doesn't list it as one of the supported devices

You mean going back to the standard ROM (ie recovering to my Nandroid state)?

I'm new to android in general, so forgive me if that's a stupid question

First, why don't you flash the new radio that Verizon released the other day???

Did you try deleting the contact, then add it manually after you call the person???

I recently tried out Cyanogen Mod 7 RC1.2... somethings work better... somethings don't... it's still a very early ROM in release candidate versions.

And what website are you talking about that doesn't have Das BAMF listed as a ROM for the Thunderbolt???
Because >>The Official Thunderbolt ROMs and Kernels Listing v2.5<< does have it listed.

Sorry I meant that cyanogen wasn't stable, not BAMF.

Also, I was told not to flash the verizon update from another thread because of being rooted. Is there a root version of the official update now?

The only problem I might have with deleting the contact and re-adding her would be that the contact info is connected to facebook.

Cyanogen is on that Official page I posted... again, what webpage are YOU talking about???

And you don't have to flash any update now that you are rooted... I'm talking about flashing the new Radio... check out [RADIO] Official OTA MR2 Radio 1.39.00.0627r [7/8/2011]... it's not actually MR2, but the latest new Radio from Verizon posted just 2 days ago.

I'd still consider writing down the personal information from this contact and deleting it... then manually adding... you can merge the contacts... any of my contacts I have that are in Facebook will link them together, but only if you connect them.

Sorry for not being very clear. I'm basing this information on the cyanogen official website

Had the same annoying problem. To fix it I had to unlink my contacts from Facebook for HTC Sense. Hope this helps.
