Photo storage issue?

Hey all,

I took a few pictures last night, and I went to transfer them to my PC this morning. I opened up Windows Explorer and browsed to \DCIM\100MEDIA ... and they weren't there!

So I switched back to "charge only" mode, went in to Gallery and there they were. After a lot of cursing and rebooting, I realized that the new pictures (both the full sized image and the thumbnails) are in \DCIM\.thumbnails. If I use Gallery to look at the picture information, it tells me it's in \DCIM\100MEDIA.

What gives? Is something supposed to copy/move the picture to the correct place?

I'm rooted, running BAMF 1.8.6.

I had switched to a GB ROM, then changed back when I had some issues.

I have a feeling the file naming is different, and my phone just got confused. I saved off everything and emptied out my /DCIM and subdirectories.
