Dangers of Rooting - Good read for the newb.

Hi guys

I'm new to Android and I've been thinking about rooting recently. I thought I'd share this article with anyone who is also on the same boat as I am.

This is an article I found while trying to learn and understand rooting. It's a very good read, and even though it was written in 2009, it's still very much applicable today. One thing I'm impressed about is the author talked about how a malicious app can wake your phone in the middle of the night and dial out toll numbers, which did happen earlier this year. I think this article is not only good for newbies to rooting, but to Android's open source approach.

So, throw caution to the wind, and happy rooting!

Interesting read, but quite a few outlandish claims and theories there. We have our own rooting Q&A, that we all worked pretty hard on that I like to share when the subject comes up
