How to flash kernels?

I believe I know how to flash ROMs via clockwork but how do I also install kernels on the Bolt? Is there some easy to follow guide like (similar to this http://forum.androidcentral.com/gen...-effective-way-when-flashing-custom-roms.html) there is for ROM?

I just rooted my Tbolt yesterday, and I have this exact same question. I made it this far, and really don't want to screw things up now if I can avoide it. Thanks in advance everyone!

to flash a kernel follow these steps

1. Make sure you make a nandroid backup before flashing just in case something goes wrong

2. Download kernel and place it on the root of your sdcard (not in any folders)

3. Boot into recovery and wipe your cache partition and wipe dalvik (in advanced options)

4. Select install zip from sdcard and then select the kernel you placed on the sdcard and click yes.

5. Sit back a wait for the kernel to flash then reboot when completed.

Like any other modification you do have a chance of bricking your phone
