1) found a boot animation of HypnoToad.zip (futurama) here
2) downloaded, unzipped--went into the file to change the screen resolution to "480 800" for the Thunderbolt specifications,
3) re-zipped & renamed "bootanimation" with .zip still in place (regular .zip, don't have a "store" option like shown in winrar or 7zip or whatever)
4) placed into system/media/ (in das bamf 1.7, the boot animation isn't in system/customize like usual)
5) changed original to "bootanimation.bak" as a backup file
6) mounted R/W & changed new bootanimation.zip permissions to match the old one of
"1 1 0
1 0 0
1 0 0"
7) mounted R/O, rebooted, and no boot animation is shown.
anything i'm overlooking---maybe a fact that boot animations won't work with every ROM?
are permissions supposed to be something else?
didn't change it into 'store' zip format b/c i didn't zip-store a splash screen i made & it flashed just fine.
