Changing ROMs?

To change a ROM do I basically do the same thing I did when applying my first ROM? Create a nandroid backup of my current system, wipe data, cache, and dalvik cache, then apply the ROM from my SD card?

you might want to wipe data, cache, and dalvik 2+ times.
