Lol, I used to be all fussy before a big trip but now I have learned to wing it, although it is chaotic at times, I have figured out all my trips tend to be more enjoyables and satifying this way :D

I make a flexible schedule:
- List of places to visit (beach, park,...)
- List of hotel
- List of restaurants
...
So when I arrive, I choose places that is convenient for me to visit.

We live by the paper map when traveling, but sometimes I follow my intrusion more so than a paper map of Mapping app.. One reason we're so good at this.. I drive while the wife navigates.. clearly we were rally racers in a past life..

I think planning things out saves you so much time. Do your research and find out what you want to do. THe hours. Where it is. It saves you time and gives you more time to do thing

It depends on where I'm going, what I'm doing and how much time I have available. I like to go on cruises and I plan absolutely nothing. I just wake up and do whatever sounds good for the day and then when I hit the port of call, rent a scooter or motorcycle and drive around and do whatever looks fun. However, if I am driving or flying to a specific destination, I usually have a pretty solid itinerary.
