I find it very odd that the HTC Merge has an 800Mhz Qualcomm MSM 7630 processor, vs. the much older Droid Incredible, which has a 1000Mhz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD 8650 processor.

Does anyone know how these two processor's compare with each other? I know that sometimes the mhz speed doesn't necessarily mean the processor itself is slower or faster than one that has a higher mhz.

Basically, my question is, how will the HTC Merge compare with the Droid Incredible's processing speed?

The processor in the Dinc is the first generation Snapdragon, while the one in the Merge is one of the second gen. processors. The Merge's is at least as powerful as the Dinc's, with better battery life since it's clocked lower.

I have the merge and I almost give it up for the milestone x because it has a 1ghz. I couldn't give up this awsome keyboard though. this phone is fast enough for every thing I do and I'm never waitng for it like I was with my blackberry and that d&#m hour glass. It is good to know that the processer compairs to the older 1ghz phones.
