Did I get a defective battery?

After looking at the Battery Monitor widget, I've been wondering if I've received a defective battery. The Droid Charge battery is 1600 maH but the widget reads it as only 1200 maH. Is this a calibration issue, a defective battery or just an app reading the battery wrong?

I would like to know if this can be fixed or if this is something that I need to call amazon about. As this is my first Android phone (and smartphone), some advice would be very helpful.

Just downloaded the widget to try it out and its says 1200 on mine too, Im doubting Samsung shipped the wrong batteries on all of our phones so Im going to go with its the app. It seems that 1200 is a standard setting that comes with the app, if you go to settings, monitoring, battery capacity it will allow you to bump up the battery setting to 1600
