Any way to get the camera to stop recording in MP4?

I was trying to edit a quick video together in Windows Movie Maker, with videos from my and the DNA, but it wouldn't recognize mp4 files. I tried uploading a video review to a website, but it wouldn't accept MP4 videos. Pretty much everything I've come across has trouble with the mp4 file format. Is there any way to set it to .avi, or can someone at least recommend a good converter app/program?

You could look for a program called Super.. its pretty much all inclusive audio video converter.. its free. Oh its for your computer not the phone..
