Hello,
I just got my replacement DNA due to an intermittent data connection. I would lose data connectivity completely and the only way to get it back was to restart the phone. Anyway, the replacement I was given has a couple of wierd things going on. First, it booted up in cryillic, then there was absolutley nothing on any of the home screens except the button that gets you to your apps.
Then I noticed the kernel version is as follows: "3.4.10-ga02d2c6 root@abm018 #1 SMP PREEMPT." Is this normal? I don't recall this from my previous DNA and what makes me nervous is the word "root" in the description. Did I get a rooted replacement DNA? I tried google and got nothing. It just seems that I got a blank image with none of the standard icons, widgets, etc in their normal places and its going to be a PITA to get everything where I need it, not to mention if I ever do a factory reset for any reason and have to strt all over. This thing came straight from the supplier outside of verizon so maybe this is the way verizon gets them from HTC? Any insight would be helpful, and thanks in advnce.
