If you're using a screen lock, then you can't get rid of it. If you turn off the screen lock under the security tab, that'll get rid of it, but then your phone is unsecured and someone could delete whatever they wanted to.
Can i still use the swipe,

    What now?

    Any update?

I've got a Moto Z-Force Droid and just got wiped by my toddler.

He got my phone off of the charger over the long weekend and it was wiped by the time I awoke.

On the Z-force Droid, the buzzer alarm goes off at high volume when you get down to 5 tries left.

I'm going to just keep it unlocked and buy an app locker for the apps that have sensitive data.

Sent from my LG-LS995 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2 It totally depends on the material or perhaps if you have a super sweaty ***. I was riding my bike one 90 degree day. And i had a close call. I happened to stop and look at my LGG3 by chance taking it out of my back pocket, and several so called attempts were made. It said 2 more attemps and all data will be lost.. I was like wtf? I then made the correct attempt and everything was ok. But seriously? That **** has got to go!

I got here because one of my customers needs this feature because she works in the financial planning industry. In researching this a little bit, I have found this feature in different places on my Samsung Galaxy S5 and on my Samsung Tablet with v.7.1.1 (which are both on Verizon), but I can't find it on my older Samsung tablet running 4.2.2 or on her new AT&T tablet which appears to me to be a Nexus, but I won't swear on that.

It seems to me that this feature is like a video game where you have to dig around to figure out how to get to the next level. Go thru every menu, turn off the password or pin, turn on the swipe, look for Auto Factory Reset or something like that. Make one change, then back out, lock the screen and test. If you still can't find it, call your carrier tech support, stay on hold while you read a book and have a cup of tea, but above all, be polite.

Absolutely! Go to "lock screen" in setting, and scroll all the way down to the bottom, and it should show a box having a check that allows the function. Uncheck it, and you're all set

Go to Settings > Security > Device Administrators and Unchecked Local Wipe Policy.
THANK YOU .... THANK YOU ... THANK YOU .... !!!!!!!

On Moto Z3 it is as follows:
Settings > Security & location > (scroll down to) Device admin apps > Local Wipe Policy
