Noob needs a hand.
I just got a DINC 2 and need to update things. I am a Page Plus user and as such I can't get updates.
Here's where I am.

HTC Sense 2.1
software 4.08.605.3
I'd like to get rid of all the verizon bloatware and be able to use gmail inbox and hangouts etc. I've done lots of PC work etc but never done this type of thing. It seems there are many different ways so if I can get a definitive method it will help me a bunch.
