Preparing for the OTA 8/15/11

[WARN]Please be sure to read the thread linked in this post before the OTA hits. If you are rooted DO NOT accept the OTA. There will be rooted OTA's available shortly after the launch. If you accept the OTA and you are rooted the odds are extremely high that you will have a problem.

If you un-root and accept the OTA It is highly likely that it will be some time before a new root method is discovered.[/WARN]

Hey pville, when using a custom rom will we get the notice? I remember with froyo I rooted just before it came out. I kept getting that annoying notice all the time until I installed virtuous based off the froyo ota. I remember trying other rooms and still getting the update notice. Right now I have MIUI with launcher pro. I would think I would not get it with a non sense rom.

You should not get the notification on a non Sense ROM. Sense ROM's, unless the dev disabled the OTA trigger, will get them.
