Connecting to PC

Ok it was workiing fine yesterday, when i connected to a pc it asked charge, disk drive, etc..

Now when i connect to both my PC and my wifes laptop, i hear the noise windows makes when something gets connected, but nothing pops up on the phone. In settings on phone, i have it set to always prompt what i want to do when i connect to a pc. Any ideas? no drives are showing up on my pc now from the phone.

nevermind, god i am an idiot, if i would of waited ten minutes to post this. but ill post my results in case it helps someone else.

Ok I had put in a new sim card and the phone had not been rebooted since then. So if you happen to put in a new sim card and can not connect to pc, it's because the phone needs to be rebooted so the OS can mount the card to the phone.
