Handcent being weird?!?!?!?!?!?

Ever since I've had my Droid and now my Incredible, often times I get the dreaded "FORCECLOSE" box. Once this box comes up I end up loosing all my text messages and mms messages. Is there a fix for this that anyone knows of?

I had a similar experience. I downloaded Chomp sms. I like it better and it comes with a widget. I haven't had any problems with it. Free with ads and if you do not like the ads only $3 donation which I think is worth it.

You can also download a "back up & restore" app... there are many free ones in the market...

I can't seem to send an MMS with Handcent. The Handcent pop-up is too low on the screen for the Swype keyboard as well. I've downloaded ChompSMS and trying it out now...

i LOVE(D) this app until I found out it re-sends old text messages whenever it is I have to reboot. My phone crashed this morning and it re-sent the message I went 2 weeks ago to the same recipient, and it got me in major trouble. Then I looked into it and found out its done it several times before. Deleted this ASAP =(
