Progressive Ringer?

I know the Droid Incredible doesn't have a progressive ringer, and I've tried 2 apps from the market, neither of which worked.
Ring Riser:
RingRiser - Android app on AppBrain
And
IncreaseRing:
Increasing Ring - Android app on AppBrain

I know there's a few ways to go with this:
1)Take a track and edit it so there is silence at the beginning and make the volume increases steadily and leave your phone on ring + vibrate all the time
2)Find an app that actually works.

So, does anyone have any suggestions? The nice thing about an app is that it will do it for any ringer you have set, with option 1, you have to edit any ringer you want to use.

I went with Option 1 using WavePad. It worked great. Took less than a minute to add 5 seconds of silence to the beginning of a stock ringtone and make it fade in. WavePad is free. :D

I'll keep this thread going with my own comments :)

Attached is the "Whistler" ringtone I'm using now with 5 seconds of silence then a fade in to full volume.

I make my own ringtones using Audacity. I simply set the fade in fade out for however long I want it to be. Problem solved. As far as app solutions I'm sure there is something out there but it won't be elegant.
