Sending pics through text

I cant seem to send any pics through text messaging. I tried using both handcent and the stock HTC messaging program. I would type in a subject title and they would only get the text, but not the pics. I have tried sending pics to different people, but no one has gotten them. Can anyone help me out?

While viewing the picture, hit the MENU button and select SHARE. Choose MESSAGING from the menu tht pops up, choose your recipient and then send. If you are sending to an iPhone, and in some cases another network in general, then you must choose edit and add some text before sending.

Okay I tried that and it sent, but the pic is really small. Not even really viewable. Any advise?

That's what Android does. It resizes it to an acceptable size for messaging. It is still bigger than what you see in the preview window on your phone. the only way to send it original size is e-mailing it to their phone.
