For instance, "Bob" send me a text asking me for "Joes" phone number. I have "Joe's" phone number in my phone. The only way I can figure out to text it to "Bob" is to find it, write it down on a piece of scrap paper ( not always very convienent) go back to the text screen and manually enter into a return text back to "Bob"

Is there a way to grab the text from within the phone without trying to quick memorize it, or write it down? To then send out in a text? If I try the copy/paste method, anywhere I have a phone number when I try to click to copy it , the phone starts to call that number instead.

You can go into the edit contact, hold the key over the phone number field, copy text, and then just paste it into the sms

Not sure how it's done on the DInc, but on the Evo, you just select the contact, hit the menu button and choose "Send Contact". You're then presented with the option to send it as a vCard.

That may be a Froyo-only or Sense-only option, not sure.
