Neocore 25.8
Quadrant 551
Linpack 6.479
How is everyone getting such high numbers with Quadrant? I have an Android 2.1 non- rooted phone. I guess apps effect the score? Hopefully someone can explain the test results.

UPDATE: 9/1 Just got FroYo this morning. Here are my updated scores:

NeoCore 26.4
Quadrant 1149
Linpack 34.12

I am impressed! FPS went up about a Frame and a half. But my Quadrant score doubled and my Linpack score is much better. Now the only thing I need to test out for my self is battery life and I will be one happy camper!

Jowlah,

You're scores are consistent with what I was getting pre-root running stock. The quadrant scores and linpack scores both increased when I went to a 2.2 ROM. Cyanogen has given me the best Quadrant scores, but others have seen bigger performance boosts with Skyraider.

Have you thought about rooting? Unrevoked makes it quite easy and ROM Manager makes installing different ROMs a cakewalk.

Thanks for the info. I am just going to wait out Verizon's OTA. I haven't had any issues with speed or performance since I got my phone in May. But I know to expect a boost post-FroYo.

Guys don't forget you can get higher quadrant scores by simply putting in a higher class SD card. The reason behind this is it isn't just testing the processor of the phone, it's a blended test that looks at GPU, CPU, Memory Subsystem, SD performance etc. For instance if you are using a Class 2 card and put in a class 10 card your score will go up by quite a bit.

Skyraider 2.5.2, King Kernel #2 O/C 1.113, Class 4 32GB Micro-SD.

Linpack: 37
Quadrant: 1303
NeoCore: 26.7 FPS

*Edit*
If your neocore doesn't return an FPS reading for you and it just loops the video over and over I figured out if you turn off USB debugging it solves the issue and runs correctly!

Quadrant seems to cache some of it's data. If you run multiple tests without rebooting, your score will increase dramatically.

I don't think it "caches" anything. It's all write tests with the exception of the SD read......as a matter of fact just like linpack if I run it multiple times it may go higher then drop lower again. You can see my previous score above at 1303, this time without a restart I scored 1265.

Small test sampling, then we will average it out and see where I'm at.
Test 1: 1303
Test 2: 1265
Test 3: 1432
Test 4: 1262
Test 5: 1432

Average of samples: 1338.8 (First test was 1303 so even if it is caching your averages come out within range.)
