Problems with 3G Connectivity in Froyo

Hey guys,

I got Froyo via OTA and have a problem with 3G Connectivity that just popped up today. If I'm in an area with no 3G coverage and then back to an area with 3G, my 3G will not come back on unless I restart the phone. If I go into Phone>Settings>Wireless and Networks I notice that Mobile Data is darkened out and will not let me select the check box to enable mobile data, so then I have to restart. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try going into airplane mode and then out again.

Something like this happens with my nexus one. At home there's no 3g, but it just uses wifi. When i come to work, it still doesn't have 3g unless i go airplane mode on then off. Then it's fine.

doesn't happen every day, but most days.
