Incredible, Root, Froyo 2.2 revert help

Hello,

I love the forum. First time I've actually had to post a question!

I have an HTC Incredible running 2.1 update 1 and unrevoked3 and unrevokedForever. It has the clockwork mod.

I was all excited to get my Froyo update last night but it's been a pain all day figuring this out.

A few weeks ago I removed CityID and QuickOffice via the ADB command line.

I keep getting errors when I try and update vis SD card to get 2.2. The first error referenced CityID so I put it back on my Dinc. Now the Froyo update makes a little bit more progress but then I get the same error for QuickOffice not being installed. I tried to put it back on but it didn't fix the Froyo update problem. Obviously Froyo wants me to have all the stock bloatware.

If I revert this back to stock will the Froyo update work? Will the stock apps all go back the way they should? I don't want to revert the Dinc if it won't get me any closer to Froyo.

Does anyone have any suggestions?! I'm about to give up and say the heck with it but I don't want to throw in the towel just yet.
