Problem with Droid Incredible installing apps from market and sd card

Here is my problem I upgraded from the Moto Droid to the Incredible and after i downloaded astro i went to install apps i had backed up on my sd card and it wouldn't install any of them so i went through the market and downloaded and installed them all one at a time. But one thing i did notice when i was downloading apps is that alot of them wouldnt install at all they would download and start installing then come up with an error and say unable to install unknown error. With the problem with the apps not installing from the sd card it is also preventing me from rooting my phone using unrevoked. i have usb debugging turned on and install from unknown sources on also and i have the hboot drivers installed correctly also. If anyone could help with this or point me in the right direction i would appreciate it my next option is to go to verizion and get a replacement phone.
