Is there a photo app for what i want to do?

I would like to take pics downloaded or saved from the internet and convert them to make them look like they came from different time periods. I'm talking about like late 1800's and the 1970's, etc.

Yup it will. I works with any pic on your phone, just need to make sure the images is in your gallery.

Ok I got Vignette and its totally great. Thanks for your suggestions. I do have a question. I want to make a few pictures look like they came from the 1800's, what settings should I use? I've tried everything.

I was just playing with this. I suggest trying out these:

Effect: Sepia
Customize: Film Grain (+ Yellow Filter?)
Frame: Grungy - Instant Transfer 1

You defiantly have to play around to get the exact look and feel you are looking for.

The photos look great guys but I still can't get the 1800's look that I'm trying to get. I'm trying to get it to look like this pic. I'm looking for a "Gettysburg" effect.

I want to go hack further, like this

That last one looks like a drawing, not a picture, to me. As for the first picture, it looks like a standard B&w pic to me. Maybe save it in Vignette as BW and grainy. Then open it again and apply another grainy filter. Maybe also throw in the "overexposed" customized option.

You might also try picsay pro. It's one of the best editing apps I've found. I'll play around and see if I can get what you are looking to do.

Wow, that looks great. Let's duplicate that look in Vignette and that will be what I'm looking for. Thank you very much.

Try this. In Vignette, try the Effect Vintange > Faded. Once you have that effect selected, click the "Customize" button under the effect and check the box next to the Monochrome effect. This will make your Vintage > Faded pics black and white, which of course is needed for that 1800's look. Give it a try, I think it gets you close to what you're looking for.

That's it! Vintage > Yearbook is "faded black and white", so basically the same setting I had with the customization above, without the customization. Nice! I think that gets you pretty close.

How can you apply them all at once? I can only do one at a time. But yeah that's exactly what I'm looking for.

you'd have to save it to be that way. I have many custom filters that I use all the time on Vignette. you can give them custom names and all
