How far are we to custom roms?

closer than we were yesterday..

but seriously, they're on their way. there's a beta of an AOSP 2.1 rom that should be up for testing really soon (as in probably hours)

check out xda if you want to read about it.

as far as 2.2 is concerned, JT, birdman, and a handful of other talented people are hard at work getting one working, but i wouldn't expect anything useable for at least a week.

that's the one i was talking about

if you aren't comfortable with loading roms and odin and stuff you might want to wait a bit as it will probably have some bugs early on
