I spent a lot of time trying to re-root my phone this morning and finally found a solution.
I had previously rooted my phone using Dirrk's EZ Root v0.2 and it worked perfectly the first time (http://forum.androidcentral.com/fascinate-roms-hacks/33899-how-root.html).
I then proceeded to remove the root using terminal emulator following this guide (YouTube - Remove Root Access from Samsung Fascinate).

After deciding to re-root my phone i tried using Dirrk's EZ root again to no avail.
I kept getting an error that said adb not recognized, so i tried finding a solution throughout several forums.

In the end, i decided to look in the android marketplace. I was able to download SuperUser from the market, and after installing opened it. It was allowing access by terminal emulator, so after denying that program access, my root was once available again!!!

To confirm this, after removing my root, wireless tether said Not Root.
After denying access to terminal emulator, wireless tether worked.

Hopefully some find this helpful if they are receiving the same "adb not recognized," or needing to re-root your phone.

If anyone has comments on other ways to do this i'd really be interested!
Thanks
