- So I am new to all this and I think I have correctly followed the procedures however, when I boot in recovery mode and go to install from SD card the ROM franken file is not there. I believe I am rooted, but not entirely sure, I have superuser installed. If I go to settings about phone my firmware version is 2.1-update 1. Kernal 2.6.29 Build SCH-I500.EA28. I was looking to put the EB01 and Voodoo Superfrankenclean 2.8. I am currently at a PC until this afternoon. Everything I have done has been through Terminal on Mac, the only thing I have done with the phone is re-booting and trying to find the ROM file from recovery mode. Andy assistance is appreciated.03-18-2011 09:26 AMLike 0

- I used the pushto app and pushed the file still in its zipped state. I can see the file in the phone in the hidden files, it has a greay square icon next to the file name.
If I succesfully loaded EB01 wouldn't it display that under phone info regardless of installing the 2.8? Could that be part of the issue? I'm beginning to think that the only thing I have done is possibly rooted the phone and installed superuser.03-18-2011 12:06 PMLike 0 - I used the pushto app and pushed the file still in its zipped state. - I apologize, I did drag and drop, not copy and paste. It does have a long name but I can't rename in the phone if that even matters. When i rename it comes up with the new name but keeps the original on the end as well. Do you think if I was able to rename to update.zip it would matter? It's not in a folder so it's in the root directory making me think the file name could be the issue. I could delete it tonight and try to put it back on the card named as update.zip03-18-2011 02:28 PMLike 0
- I have a question (read: noob) concerning my phone modem. I am currently running SC 2.8 with a DI01 modem and am having issues with sending sms messages. I read somewhere that I need at least DL09 modem to send sms messages through SC 2.8.
Is there a means to flash the DL09 modem through a mac without odin? I am loving the SC 2.8, but need my sms messaging.
Any help would be great as I am a definite noob.
Thanks03-18-2011 03:13 PMLike 0 - Yeah this is true , you had to have over the aired to DL09 before installing. Now you will need to find a windows pc to use or partition your drive and install windows on your pc...I have a question (read: noob) concerning my phone modem. on an ironic side note: I'm from Jersey and now live in Colorado and you guys are in Jersey and Colorado. I'm sure that has to be a good sign that we'll get this thing working again lol03-18-2011 06:07 PMLike 0 - It said it installed so I clicked on reboot and the phone cycles to samsung logo twice and then goes back to recovery screen
