Help with wake-lock

So I've heard, and read some stuff on wake-locks. Where the phone doesn't go to sleep when you turn the screen off. I've been battling battery issues lately, and using spare parts it seems i'm dealing with wake-lock issues. I've had this problem before, but was only able to fix it by reflashing stuff. If anyone can offer me more help with dealing with wake-locks, maybe some links or something, that would rock. I know they can be caused by all sorts of stuff.

I seem to be having the same problems with my battery. Last night I lost 50% of my battery just by my phone laying on my nightstand. And that was even after I turned off the GPS and live wallpaper.
