Very confused on which new version to go to ** please help

I am confused on which version I need to upgrade my phone to. I am currently running the following:

firmware: 2.2.1
kernal: 2.6.32.9
build: EB01

If someone can make a suggestion on which new build would be best for me to upgrade to and point me to the correct download that would be great. Also I would like to do this without losing my data.

Any help with this would be great! Thanks in advance!

You can try going to an ED01 based rom, but there are no guarantees about losing data. If you are 100% unsure, and your phone isn't broken, I would say don't try to fix it. If you are interested in learning the ins and outs of romming, try an ED01 rom on for size and see if it works. If you back up properly you can always just revert in the event that all your data gets lost.

Thanks for your response. I saw a thread the other day that had some new ROMs on it, a couple of ones were community ROMs, but I can't find that post now and I'm not sure who the post was from. Any chance on pointing me to the newest ROM packages?
