comm rom 2.1 issues

Flashed Comm Rom 2.1 PB&J -50 Vodoo. Couple of problems.
1 USB connected is on in the status bar. If I touch it it shows the USB mass storage panel with the button that would connect usb storage if a cable was plugged in (no cable of any kind plugged in)

2. Swype seems to work when you "paint" the word - but then it clicks and doesn't enter any text.

Anyone have any ideas?

Baseband s:I500.04vED04
Kernel 2.6.32.9
Build SCH-i500.ED01

I believe you need to turn on USB debugging on, maybe i am wrong but try that. Swype needs to be uninstalled and download the installer from your phone's browser here https://beta.swype.com/android/get

The problem I'm having is that my 3G and wifi goes off and on every 10-15 sec . Can anyone help me please.
