help my phone is dead

I don't know how it happened.

I was watching a video on YouTube today

and I pressed the power button to shut the screen off in the middle of the video to do something else,

and turned it back on...

The phone suddenly restarted.

But when it comes on, it says "No service" and when I press anything

(e.g. put the passcode to unlock the phone)

it will restart the phone again. And it looped and looped on...

So, I took the back cover out and pulled the battery.

When I put the battery back on, it won't turn on.

It gives me a screen with the battery with the little sunshine looking circle inside

for about 2 seconds... and then turn off.

I tried doing volume up + volume down + power button,

tried to cool it down for an hour before putting the battery back in, etc.

It just doesn't turn on.

Btw, its on the CM7 nightly (the latest one before 7.2 I think) and its a Verizon fascinate.

Nothing special, no unusual tweaking.

Can someone please help?

UPDATE: My phone is back up!

I pulled the battery for two hours,

and recharged it using my original charging cable for another hour,

and then pressed the power button.

It went into recovery mode by itself and I pressed "reboot system now".

It turned on back to normal, but they got rid of my wallpaper.

It wasn't a live wallpaper I don't know why they did.

But just in case anyone else is in trouble
