Teardown and Rebuild of the Fascinate?

I was wondering if anyone has done a teardown of the fascinate to look at the hardware inside. I am asking because I have seen where people say there is no LED for the phone, yet there appears to be a space to the left of the ear peice either for an LED, or (hopefully?) a presently non functioning foward camera? I don't really want to destroy my phone as I like it as it is, but was wondering what those two spaces were for. Thanks

I think those are light sensors for the screen.

It's a light-meter and a proximity sensor. It's neither an LED nor camera, I promise. As far as I'm aware, there is no Galaxy S variant that has a notification LED.

Bugger. Well I was hopeful. For some odd reason the promimity sensor and light sensor never occured me to. Well there ya go. Thanks nameBrandon.

Currently, the only galaxy s with the notification light is the epic 4g.
