    First off welcome to Android Central, No need to install anything its already there. just open up a text msg or start a new one. long press where u would normally type a msg, then when u see "input method" change to the keyboard you want.

    Thanks and nope, Fascinate doesn't have Samsung Keypad like the others by default... That's why I'm asking ^^;;

    The keypad that I want is in this "Super Clean version 2.9.2 - EB01/EC10 Froyo leak root+Froyo Clockworkmod with MALWARE protection" but I don't want to change anything from the official froyo just to get the keypad... so am expecting someone who could get the samsung keypad which is in this pack, and make it able to install it with odin...

    Little off topic but still about Samsung Keyboard, how do you turn off the click you hear when typing without silencing phone dialer? Can't find a way to do it in settings?

    On the Android Keyboard you can disable it seperately but for the Samsung one you have to disable the phone dialer sounds . I like the Samsung better but don't like the click but want the dialer tones! Yeah I know picky person..........

    In the market there is Smart Keyboard. They have the skin of the samsung keypad. The trial is free or you can buy the full version.

    In the settings you can make it almost exactly how it was while using superclean.

    Are you rooted? If so, you can extract the Samsung keypad (AxT9IME.apk) from the super clean ROM and then use a file explorer to move it into the /system/app folder

    You need to be rooted to push that samsung keypad .apk file to system/app.

    How would I go about extracting that keyboard from the SC292 ROM? Do that on my home computer or would I load the .tar file on my SD and pull it out from there?

    Thanks. If found the file on another android forum and pushed it last night, but kept getting FC. Hadn't reboot or cache wiped, so those will be first to try. I'll let you know.

    ok, so i copied the apk fike into system / app and rebooted as well as cleared dalvick and cache and i get nothing but FC. It shows up as a selectable keyboard but isnt usable. the other droid forum (where i found the file) said something about one or two other files that needed to go with it. maybe i was reading about a wrong process but i dont know enough about it to be sure. I'll download your file (thank you) and see if that works.
