You have a few choices. Most people are probably running Community ROM, but there's also Evil Fascination, and Nameless. Or if you are more daring there are three not completely working gingerbread ROMs based on the Cyanogen Mod platform plus MIUI and Vanilla AOSP. Just depends on what you are looking for.

Comm rom is good, but I decided to get a little adventurous and I'm using jt's cm7 right now. Both are food but cm7 still has a few things not working like the camera.

Yeah, if you don't want to deal with a ton of weird issues, I would recommend ComRom 1.3. On page 164 of the thread is a detailed procedure for flashing it that seems to cut off most issues at the pass.

I just Odin to CWM 3 then flashed OTA 1.3 for voodoo and root. Then titanium backup to freeze a bunch of stuff I do not want.

OTA - Same way as ED01. It's not better than ED01, just removed geotagging in the camera apk and supposed to be a fix for those who were not able to get ED01 through OTA. It's not worth flashing back to stock Eclair to get ED03.

downloaded comm romm 1.3 and have that running. is real nice.

only thing i noticed is the gap on the home screen between the google search and the messaging. contacts, camera, market buttons.

what are you guys putting in the middle there.

That's the beauty of android. You can customize it however you want. Completely remove everything and put something else there, leave it alone, add a widget or shortcut... Whatever you want!
