Hi, does anyone have the verizon wireless backup assistant apk? I deleted it without backing it up, and I would like to have it again.

You shouldn't have any need for it. Go online to my verizon, sign in, go to backup assistant, select all your contacts and export as .csv file. Then for your main google account, import that file.

Bam, no need for that piece of verizon bloatware ever again.. all your contacts will be in your google account and instantly synced to your phone going forward.

i'm aware that the app is useless, which is why i deleted it in the first place. my problem is that i have a rooted but not unlocked galaxy nexus and the 4.0.4 OTA aborts whenever it sees that i'm missing vzw backup assistant. I tried to remove the patch file from the OTA zip but then the updater notices that a file is missing and aborts again.

I tried this but my phone numbers show up in the contacts as notes. Only 4 of my contacts have the phone numbers applied to them. Any advice?
