There's an XDA thread that I've used. I suggest Googling XDA Galaxy Nexus Soft keys, that should get you where you want to go.

As regards softkeys, just an FYI, for AOKP B30 and up you don't need zipthemer anymore, as is referenced in said XDA thread.

Yeah, I wanted to stick to a more general approach so I debated how much to discuss alternative methods past ZipThemer. Thanks for pointing that out for those who weren't aware though, I truly appreciate it .

Personally, I've tried messing with the AOKP B30 method (and I believe I might have hinted at that in the guide), but until more ROMs adopt it I think the safer "general" approach is ZipThemer, Metamorph, etc., but that's because I'm a paranoid, OCD little man.

I think the B30 feature is very, very cool though. I just wish I was able to enable my search button as usual, but that's a query for another thread .

Even though I knew most of what you talked about already, I've never seen it written out as fantastic as this. Well done, here's a "Don't Panic" boot animation I created for myself, might as well share.

To install, you have to have the SDK installed, ADB in your path, and in the same folder as the .zip attached...

adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local

reboot and "Don't Panic"

Thats odd... It should show the image like I posted (or it does on my phone). I've used it on a stock nexus and now on my liquid ROM.

If you want to remove it;

adb shell rm /data/local/bootanimation.zip

Maybe you uploaded the wrong file? No worries, its all good.
