Will a battery pull during Clockwordmod Recovery brick a device?

I had rooted successfully but then made the mistake of loading a maguro rom onto my toro phone. Okay, I know. Really dumb.

So I downloaded a different rom over wi-fi (as I had no mobile radios...). Flashed CWM Recovery, rebooted into recovery, wiped data, wiped cache, went to format system (think this was the problem?) then when I went back to "load zip from sdcard" it got stuck on the Android robot with his chest open and the spinning atom thing. I did up and down volume and pressed power button to try all the different options but nothing worked. Ended up the only thing I could figure to do was battery pull as nothing else was responsive.

After pull now I can't get past the Google screen with the unlocked pad lock.

So did I ruin the phone? Any suggestions? Obviously I'm freaking out a little bit.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Pull the battery out, let it sit for a minute, put battery back in, hold vol up and down at the same time then press power button. Should load to bootloader, then scroll to select recovery. When your there just wipe data/cache and boot to stock OS. You should be fine, ROMs don't touch the recovery.

I don't use the word hero often, but you, sir, are a true hero. Probably the smartest person on the entire Internet. Thanks!

Haha no hero, just had my fair shares of scares from flashing . If you haven't had a scare at least once, your not a true flasher.

Taken out of context, this is quite hilarious.

    Thanks again!

What does the atom spinning in the chest of the android signify?
