I have a rooted Verizon galaxy nexus with just whatever ROM it had all I did was pit clockworkmod recovery on it. I tried this and I can't use the clock anymore. What should I do?

The fact that you used "whatever ROM it had" shows you shouldn't be rooting your phone.
